Beijing, January 23, 2024 – In a momentous gathering at the Sanlitun Diplomatic Compound, Prime Minister Gaston Browne of Antigua and Barbuda added grandeur to the official opening ceremony and cocktail party, commemorating the establishment of the Embassy of Antigua and Barbuda to the People’s Republic of China. The event, held today, was a resplendent affair, signifying the deepening ties between the two nations. Prime Minister Browne, alongside distinguished guests, witnessed the unfolding of a new chapter in bilateral relations.
At this historic moment, a series of important dignitaries were also in attendance, including key figures such as E. Paul Chet Greene, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Trade, and Barbuda Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda, His Excellency Mr. Brian Stuart-Young, the Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to China, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Xu Feihong, and Ambassador Zhang Yanling, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Antigua and Barbuda.
